What it does
- Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system
- Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle function
- Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
Who it's for
Adults and teens 16+ who want to top up vitamin D, especially in autumn and winter.
Ingredients and allergens
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol, from lichen), vitamin K2 (MK-7), maltodextrin, corn starch, vegan capsule shell. Suitable for vegans.
How to take it
Take 1 capsule a day with a meal. Vitamin D is fat-soluble, so a meal with some fat in it is best. Breakfast or lunch both work. Never take more than 1 capsule a day, or with any other vitamin D product.
Good to know
- Each capsule gives 100µg (4,000 IU) of vitamin D3, the maximum adults should take in a day. Do not take with any other vitamin D supplement.
- If you take warfarin or another blood thinner, speak to your GP before taking any product containing vitamin K.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or under medical supervision, speak to your GP or pharmacist before use.
- Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated dose. Keep out of reach of young children.
Questions people ask
How strong is it?
Each capsule gives 100µg (4,000 IU) of vitamin D3, which is the most adults should take in a day. The NHS advises 10µg a day for most people in autumn and winter, so this is a higher-strength product. Don't combine it with other vitamin D supplements.
Can I take D3 + K2 with magnesium?
Yes, you can take them together with a meal. If you take any medicines, check with your pharmacist first.
Should I take it in the morning or at night?
Either is fine. Most people take it with breakfast or lunch, with some food that contains fat.
Why does it contain K2, and is it safe with blood thinners?
Vitamin K contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin K can affect blood-thinning medicines such as warfarin, so if you take one, speak to your GP before using this product.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The vitamin D3 comes from lichen and the capsule is plant-based.
